Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Teammately Inc. (“Teammately,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our websites, communicate with us, or use our enterprise software and services (collectively, the “Services”).
An organization that provides you access to a Teammately workspace may control information in that workspace. In that case, Teammately generally processes personal information on the organization’s instructions, and questions about that information should first be directed to the organization.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
We may collect:
- contact and professional information, such as your name, work email, employer, title, and team;
- account information, such as identity-provider identifiers, workspace membership, and access settings;
- communications, including support requests, meeting notes, feedback, and sales inquiries;
- workspace contributions, such as comments, expert judgments, policy or rubric authorship, and other content you submit;
- billing and transaction information supplied in connection with an enterprise agreement; and
- job application information if you apply to work with us.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Services, we and our service providers may collect:
- device, browser, operating system, language, and network information;
- IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- pages or features viewed, timestamps, navigation paths, and interactions;
- authentication, audit, diagnostic, and security logs; and
- cookie or similar-technology identifiers where those technologies are used.
For the public website, we use self-hosted, cookieless analytics to understand aggregate traffic, referral sources, approved campaign parameters, and fixed conversion events such as a successful contact inquiry. We do not send contact-form contents, names, email addresses, company names, or job titles to this analytics service.
Information from customers and integrations
We may receive information from the organization that provides your workspace, identity providers, development tools, model providers, cloud platforms, and other integrations enabled by an authorized customer.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate, secure, and support the Services;
- authenticate users and administer workspaces;
- process customer instructions and maintain audit history;
- respond to questions, support requests, and business inquiries;
- monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and investigate security events;
- understand and improve the Services;
- communicate service, security, legal, and account updates;
- send marketing communications where permitted by law and honor opt-out choices;
- manage contracts, billing, and business operations; and
- comply with law and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Teammately, our customers, and others.
We may create aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual and use it for lawful business purposes.
3. Customer data and model training
Customer workspace data may include benchmark cases, policies, rubrics, prompts, outputs, trajectories, and expert contributions. We process that information to provide the Services and follow the customer’s instructions and applicable agreement.
We do not use customer workspace data to train shared generative models unless the customer expressly agrees in writing.
4. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information:
- to perform a contract or take steps requested before entering a contract;
- for our legitimate interests, such as operating, securing, improving, and communicating about the Services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights;
- with consent, where we ask for it; and
- to comply with legal obligations or protect vital interests.
5. How we share information
We may share personal information with:
- the customer organization that provides or administers your workspace;
- service providers that support hosting, security, authentication, analytics, communications, customer support, and business operations;
- integrations and third-party services enabled by an authorized customer;
- professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and financial institutions;
- authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or investigate misuse; and
- a buyer, successor, or relevant counterparty in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information for money. If applicable law treats certain analytics or advertising disclosures as a “sale” or “sharing,” we will provide the choices required by that law.
6. International data transfers
Teammately and our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections.
7. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, meet contractual commitments, comply with law, resolve disputes, and protect the Services. Retention of customer workspace data is also governed by the applicable customer agreement and workspace settings.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, subject to legal, security, backup, and technical requirements.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur.
If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact us promptly at [email protected].
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- access or receive a copy of personal information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent;
- receive information in a portable format; and
- appeal a decision or complain to a data protection authority.
To submit a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and authority. If your information is controlled by your employer or another customer, we may direct the request to that organization.
You may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the message. Service and security communications may still be sent when necessary.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the website and Services functioning, remember preferences, and protect accounts. Browser settings can be used to limit some technologies, but doing so may affect functionality.
Our public-website analytics does not use cookies, local storage, browser-side persistent identifiers, or cross-site tracking. It is self-hosted by Teammately and respects a browser’s Do Not Track setting. We retain only approved campaign parameters in analytics URLs and do not use analytics to identify visitors.
11. Children
The Services are intended for business and professional use and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Third-party links and services
Our Services may link to or integrate with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, and Teammately is not responsible for services we do not control.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Services, law, or our practices. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required.
